Position Summary
ICIC is a national partner on the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (“10KSB”) program, managing and advising on outreach, application and selection processes across all locations. The Analyst will focus on this program, working closely with the entire team to support key projects and deliverables. The Analyst will be supervised by the Deputy Director on work deliverables and project planning matters, and will also have a dotted line reporting structure to the Director of the Business Transformation Team for professional development and HR matters.
The Analyst will provide programmatic support to the larger Business Transformation Team, including database management, analysis of recruitment success metrics, and application processing. In addition to assisting with our work with local program sites, the Analyst will identify creative methods for optimizing current processes and implementing new processes within programmatic guidelines. The position offers a unique opportunity for increased responsibility and exposure to external stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst will support the execution of outreach, recruitment, application, and selection processes in partnership with program teams at 3-5 of the 10KSB program locations across the country and provide general programmatic support to the ICIC Business Transformation Team as needed. Specific responsibilities include:
Support of 10KSB Sites (50%)
- Support team Associates in coordinating partnership-based outreach, recruitment, application, and selection with external program staff at local sites.
- Manage program CRM systems, applicant trackers, internal databases, and materials for several sites throughout the recruitment process.
- Manage the internal management process, including collecting, cleaning, maintaining, and analyzing data.
- Present program data findings on key programmatic deliverables to funder and program partners.
Selection of 10KSB Participants (20%)
- Communicate via phone and email with program applicants as necessary to assist with application processing, follow-up, and outreach.
- Assist in the application, evaluation, and selection process for program applicants. As a supporting member of the National Selection Committee, this includes application processing and preparation for the interview and final selection processes with program applicants at multiple program sites.
Internal ICIC Support (20%)
- Support the Business Transformation Team on various committees related to program sponsorship development, data reporting, and toolkit creation and maintenance
- Support the larger ICIC community on various cross-department committees related to ICIC’s impact, annual conference, and recruitment
Travel (10%)
- Travel to local 10KSB sites to interview candidates for the program
- Attend conferences and sponsored partner events to promote the program
Qualifications
The successful candidate is a highly-organized self-starter with strong potential for growth, and has up to two years of work experience. The newest addition to our team should be inspired by the work that we do at ICIC, and passionate about supporting small businesses in need of educational resources to help them grow.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any field or discipline OR 4 years work experience
- Finely tuned analytical, written and communication skills with an ability to problem-solve and mitigate challenges
- Experience managing multiple tasks to completion simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A team player inclination: collaborative, solutions-oriented, and excited to work with other team members and departments
- Flexibility with changing priorities and deadlines
- Experience building and maintaining relationships
- Experience preparing and present program information to a variety of stakeholders
- An interest in thinking creatively to solve challenges, improve processes, and develop new program strategies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word and Excel skills required); experience with Adobe, ArcGIS and Microsoft Access a plus
- Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills. Experience working with online meeting and communications platforms such as Zoom, Slack, a plus
- Passion for entrepreneurship, economic development, or driving inclusive economic prosperity in under-resourced communities
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of annual time, may increase with time in position
This is a full-time remote position. We are currently able to employ candidates working from any of the following states: AL, AR, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, KY, MA, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TX, and VA.
Benefits include:
- Three weeks of vacation per year to start, with an additional day added for each year of service up to 5 years
