The ICL PROS (Personalized Recovery Oriented Services) Program offers rehabilitation, counseling, therapeutic activities, and peer support each day to individuals living with severe mental illness. The Associate Program Director works under the general supervision of the Program Director and assists in the supervision and management of the program. The Associate Program Director will function as the back up to the Program Director and is the lead administrator in the Program in the absence of the Program Director. The mission of the PROS Program is to provide a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment where an individual with mental illness can explore, identify, and strive to achieve recovery from the disabling effects of their mental illness. The array of services, participant driven, will be developed based on individual need, wellness self-management, recovery goals, and will assist the individual in achieving personal life goals


  • Assists the Program Director in the management of all aspects of program to ensure the provision of quality clinical, recovery and rehabilitative services to mentally ill
  • Assists the Program Director in managing the budget for the program, personal services and non-personal services.
  • Supervises the clinical staff as assigned and meets regularly with direct reports
  • Assists the Program Director to recruit, hire, train and evaluate assigned staff and provides and/or coordinate in-service training for staff
  • Assists the Program Director to oversee and monitor case records, and other forms of, documentation to ensure that all internal and external standards are
  • Assists in conducting Utilization Reviews as assigned by the Program Director and participates in other quality assurance activities including consumer satisfaction
  • Helps to oversee completion of incident reports, and may assist in facilitation of quarterly incident review meeting on a program level, and may participate in the agency-wide incident review
  • As assigned assists in the coordination and monitoring of master group schedules to ensure that groups offered are developed from service definitions and meet the individual needs of program participants as determined by their
  • Assists the Program Director to collect, review, and analyze data (including but not limited to outcome measures), report on trends to address barriers to effective treatment and
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with service providers in community and ensure ongoing linkages for service
  • Prepares for program audits, assuring adherence to
  • Seeks new resources and information on evidence-based practices, including Wellness Self-Management, Family Psychoeducation, Medication Management, Co-occurring Disorders, Individual Placement and Support (IPS) employment methods, and ensuring staff implementation of these
  • As assigned works with regulatory organizations to develop new treatment
  • As assigned, may collaborate with agency-wide mental health programs to provide coordinated
  • Assists Program director to develop and oversee programming that promotes vocational
  • May assist in overseeing program billing functions and service hour documentation
  • Assists Program Director oversee any and all activities necessary to comply with requirements of Managed Care
  • Participates in staff training in and promotes staff utilization of Evidenced Based Treatment
  • Develops the supervisory skills of assigned staff as appropriate.
  • Helps to ensure that program recordkeeping and billings systems are intact and reliable.
  • Assists Program director assure that program operates in a manner consistent with agency policy and goals and OMH and other governmental regulations
  • As assigned completes weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end
  • In the absence of the Program Director, assumes lead responsibility for managing the program.
  • Assumes other responsibilities and tasks as assigned
