Entry Level Drafter at Power Engineers in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Entry Level Drafter Location Boise Job Code 16955 # of openings 1 Apply Now (Entry-Level Drafter (Power Generation) POWER Engineers, a leader in the design of energy infrastructure projects, is seeking a Drafting or Engineering Technology graduate for a position in the Computer-Aided Engineering Department. Under the guidance of experienced staff, the successful candidate will create drawing packages using AutoCAD and MicroStation software. The work will focus mainly on the Mechanical discipline, however there will be opportunities to assist with Civil, Structural and Electrical design packages. Once the candidate is comfortable and skilled in producing 2D deliverables, there is the opportunity to advance into 3D modeling using CADworx and SmartPlant 3D, with the goal of becoming a seasoned Mechanical Designer. The position will report to one of the following offices : Oradell, NJ; Mt. Laurel, NJ; Overland Park, KS; Boise, ID or Hailey, ID. Both in-office and remote work is required, with the proportion to be determined. Required Education / Experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Design Drafting or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Excellent verbal and written communication skills The candidate must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship Desired Education / Experience Design experience with CAD software Demonstrated attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills Prior internship or related work experience At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
