Ideal Eye Care is searching for an individual or individuals with enthusiastic and caring personalities who exude exceptional patient care.
Job Summary:
- Schedule patients for comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, pre-op and post-op appointments, medical examinations and follow-ups
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits
- Perform and explain in an enthusiastic manner the preliminary examinations on each patient which includes: auto-refractor, NCT, visual acuities, optos fundus imaging, confrontational visual fields, extraocular muscle testing, color vision testing, stereopsis testing and inputting results into the EMR system
- Emphasis on educating patients the benefits and importance of the optos fundus imaging, which will lead to excellent monthly bonuses
- Instruct patients on proper contact lens care and teaching new contact lens patients the proper way to insert and remove a contact lens
- Explaining and assisting patients with paperwork and proper filing
- Maintain a positive and professional environment and atmosphere
Position Requirements:
- Previous optical/technician experience (not required)
- A strong sales background in order to achieve monthly personal and clinic goals
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve and exude empathy in all interactions
The position will include 2 weeks of training in all aspects of the job position and requirements. Great monthly bonus in addition to base pay and the opportunity for quick raises based on performance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
