To ensure success as a software test engineer, you should have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), advanced knowledge of automation test design (TDD, BDD supported cucumber frameworks) and engineering, a good eye for detail, and a natural gift for software troubleshooting. A skilled quality assurance engineer should be able to identify the slightest flaw in software designs and suggest simple yet effective fixes.
