We are a dynamic and growing biotech company based in Hampton, NH. Our operations rely on state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and we are looking for a versatile and independent Maintenance Technician to ensure our infrastructure runs smoothly and safely.
Your Mission
As our Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in the upkeep, monitoring, and repair of our equipment and facilities. You’ll be the go-to person for planned maintenance and urgent fixes, ensuring our workplace remains functional, safe, and compliant with relevant quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on some laboratory and office equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and maintain records in accordance with internal quality systems.
- Coordinate and supervise service interventions or maintenance with external providers.
Repairs & Fit-outs
- Carry out minor repairs (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.) and improvement works.
- Perform occasional painting, drilling, assembly/disassembly of furniture or lab fittings.
- Prepare and set up new office and laboratory spaces in collaboration with the operations team.
Quality & Compliance
- Maintain documentation and tracking logs for equipment (e.g. maintenance plans, calibration certificates).
- Ensure all interventions comply with applicable certification and safety standards.
- Participate in audits and contribute to corrective/preventive action plans.
Supplier & Contractor Liaison
- Act as the point of contact for craftsmen, technicians, and service providers.
- Follow up on quotes, delivery times, and contract performance.
- Ensure that subcontractors comply with safety and quality protocols during their interventions.
Inventory & Procurement Support
- Monitor stock levels of maintenance-related materials and tools.
- Assist in the procurement and reception of spare parts and technical supplies.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma (or equivalent); vocational training in maintenance or technical field is a plus
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in biotech/industrial settings
- Strong practical skills across a range of trades (basic electrical, plumbing, painting)
- Good understanding of facility systems (HVAC, compressed air, water purification, etc.)
- Knowledge of quality management systems.
- Basic IT skills (MS Office) for tracking interventions and reporting.
- Good communication skills and team spirit
