Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate machines and building systems to determine required maintenance
- Conduct preventative maintenance
- Correspond with vendors to schedule maintenance needs
- Assist with departmental maintenance needs to coordinate schedules and budget
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Attend production meetings to coordinate scheduling and notify other departments of maintenance issues/timelines
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
- Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Oversee disposal of chemical waste; choose supplier, schedule, maintain safety standards
- Maintain building security
- On site First Responder - Assist in emergency and clean up
Required Skills & Abilities
- Identify issues and determine required action
- Schedule required maintenance for building systems and machinery
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five years’ experience in manufacturing environment
- Proven record of working safely with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
- Demonstrate knowledge of Lock-out-tag-out, machine guarding, and other safety systems
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
