About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Day Program Coordinator to join our team at IHCOS Care Associates, Inc. As a Day Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our day program, plan, direct, and coordinate activities for individuals to help them integrate within the community. The Day Program Coordinator will also oversee the program’s budget, policies, and evaluate staff to ensure that the operation of the Day Program is compliant with requirements and beneficial to the individuals. You will work closely with our team of nurses and direct care staff to implement individualized care plans, and ensure that all program activities are in compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our clients receive the care and support they need to live their best lives.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor program’s budget, primarily in establishing and maintaining budgets
- Manage staff, scheduling and operations of Day Program
- Work closely with staff of the Day Program to ensure high level of quality care is provided and that the needs of individuals are met
- Complete staff evaluations and reports to be submitted to management
- Develop standard operating procedures and plans
- Coordinate with Residential Program to ensure that individuals’ medical appointments as well as required documentations are completed
- Work closely with agency delegating nurse to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of individuals
- Maintain recordkeeping and data logs in residences and provide training to staff when needed
- Participate in employee hiring process by recruiting, screening, and evaluating potential hires
- Evaluate the needs of individuals served under the Day Program
- Provide direct support and services to individuals
- Plan and coordinate activities for individuals
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years of related experience
- Minimum of college degree (BA or BS) required. Experience may be substituted in lieu of education in some cases
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification from an accredited organization (such as American Red Cross, American Heart Association or American Safety and Health Institute)
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Proficiency in using Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
8:30am - 5pm Monday - Friday
8 hours a day
