Role Summary:
INCCRRA is seeking an entry level Credential Counselor to join our Professional Development department. This position is responsible for new and renewal credential application receiving, processing, making determinations, counseling, and communication with applicants. Applies skills and extensive knowledge of credential requirements in making determinations. Individual credential applications can vary widely. No two are the same. A set of principles must be applied in making an individual determination regarding the qualifications for each credential, and credential level and renewals.

What will you be doing?
- Processes Credential Applications: Involves applying a range of knowledge, use of computer software (DTP), analysis of coursework & experience.
- Reviews new and renewal credential application materials submitted, enters applicable information into DTP including accurate and detailed case notes. Requests additional information as needed.
- Provides excellence in customer service/accurate communication skills. Answers questions in timely manner and documents accordingly. De-escalates conflict; involves supervisor if needed
- Meets department accuracy expectations (98%) and deliverables in response time (20 business days)
- Works in partnership with team members in making credential determinations/reviewing complex applications.
- Provides a 2nd review for applications (reviews work of peers for accuracy).
- Suggests more efficient processes to supervisor, shares workarounds with team members
- Has a positive attitude and strong organizational skills. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and abilities we are looking for:
- Completion of 4-years of high school and 3 years of experience. Preferred: two years of college and/or an associate degree
- Operating systems include/but not limited to: Communication systems such as regular use of Email, Phone, Microsoft Teams, Phones, scanners, Microsoft Office software; Specific training on INCCRRA's Data Tracking Program
- Bilingual in Spanish would be a plus
