Illuminate Educational Therapy Group is seeking a dedicated Learning Specialist to join our thriving private practice, providing one-on-one support in Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, West LA, Sherman Oaks, Calabasas, and surrounding areas.
What We’re Looking For:
We're seeking individuals who are either earning or already possess an BA in Special Education or a Post-MA certificate. Experience with programs like Orton-Gillingham, Barton, Lindamood-Bell, Wilson, or similar reading and writing interventions is highly valued. You will work closely with students who have mild-to-moderate learning disabilities, ADHD, executive functioning deficits, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other unique learning profiles, helping them unlock their full potential.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

- Experience or familiarity with programs like Guided Reading, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, and Handwriting Without Tears, as well as strategies for supporting ADHD, executive functioning difficulties, and Twice Exceptional Learners.
- Strong organizational skills and a passion for teaching in a multi-sensory, research-based way that adapts to each student’s unique learning style.
- The ability to work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals, and a commitment to detailed progress tracking and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized academic support and coaching tailored to each student's needs.
- Develop and implement learning goals, informed by neuropsychological evaluations.
- Maintain communication with parents and educational teams, and document session outcomes thoroughly.
