The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and food storage areas. The pay range for this position is $20-21 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Assist with serving meals during meal and snack times.
- Communicate client needs to Lead Cook and/or Culinary Manager.
- Work with volunteers and help foster a welcoming work environment.
- Assist with maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Adhere to proper handling, storage, and rotation (FIFO) of food items to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
- Work in alignment with the company’s Guiding Principles
- Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out the trash, and sanitizing the kitchen.
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly cleaning logs
- Labeling and stocking ingredients on easily accessible shelves.
- Handle basic cooking duties such as parboiling, preparing salads, etc
- Attend required training and meetings as required.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Some managerial/leadership experience
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to send and receive emails and summarize data in spreadsheets.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Dependable with good time management and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow privacy rules.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
