Key Responsibilities
Draft, edit, proofread, format, and finalize legal documents using Microsoft Office and firm technologies
Utilize legal software and document management systems to support attorney productivity
Prepare and coordinate electronic and state court filings, ensuring accuracy and deadline compliance
Apply knowledge of legal procedures to maintain compliance with court rules and filing standards
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including scanning, distribution, and mail handling
Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
Maintain and update attorney contacts in Outlook
Assist with file openings, closings, and conflict checks
Support timekeeping, billing, and administrative functions
Process attorney reimbursements and coordinate client expenses with Accounts Payable
Maintain professional, confidential client interactions at all times
Ensure regular, reliable attendance as an essential function of the role
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related education preferred (experience may substitute)
Strong clerical, transcription, and administrative skills
Ability to manage files, correspondence, and legal workflows efficiently
Comfortable using standard office equipment (computers, printers, copiers, scanners, phones)
Flexible, solutions-oriented, and able to perform effectively under pressure
