Responsibilities & Qualifications
Our company is hiring an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee a team of 7 in our field accounting department. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for monitoring general accounting practices in accordance with US GAAP as well as developing budgets, maintaining, and implementing internal controls, tracking a high volume of locations, and building a strong financial team. The Accounting Manager reports directly to our Field Controller and plays an instrumental role in the financial future of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is a process backup in place for every critical operation
- Implement internal corporate accounting policies and procedures and maintain existing policies and procedures
- Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process to improve accuracy and accountability
- Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for the management and executive teams
- Implement and monitor the month, quarter, and year-end closing accounting schedules
- Assist in development of reports for management and regulatory agencies
- Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
- Prepare and review monthly reconciliations of key accounts
- Collaborate with other functions to drive process improvements including billing, taxes, reporting, etc.
- Coordinate the annual audit
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5 years of experience in an accounting leadership role
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong budgeting, financial forecasting and financial analysis skills required
