A Bit About The Role
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the general ledger accounting related to cash, payroll, benefits, accounts receivable, fixed assets, advances, notes receivable, prepaids and several different accruals (R&D accrual, professional services, vacation and more). Needs to be strong in multi-currency accounting.
- Handle full set accounting ledgers for specified entities including month end closing, account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Maintain both US GAAP books using ERP System and Statutory books which will involve performing the monthly US GAAP book to Statutory book reconciliations
- Raise intercompany billings to various affiliates based on group transfer pricing agreements on a monthly basis
- Manage corresponding statutory audits, annual filings, tax filings, other statistical filings as required by local authorities
- Maintain corresponding fixed assets modules to reflect accurate fixed asset listings and depreciation
- Compile fixed asset roll forward analysis including additions, transfers, disposals and foreign exchange
- Closely monitor and coordinate with local accounting firm to perform the statutory booking keeping to a satisfactory level in the case where an outsourced local accounting firm is engaged.
- Manage all tax submissions and related duties for the assigned entities
- Ad hoc requests/analysis/projects as required from Controller
- Develop, implement and document processes as well as process improvements.
- Work on complex assignments/projects as required.
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree with focus in accounting with CPA designation preferred or equivalent 4 years hands on accounting experiences preferably in multinational companies and with Big 4 public accounting firm or equivalent
- Capable of independently performing period end closing with minimal supervision
- Strong Local Entity GAAP knowledge with a good understanding of US GAAP
- Proven competence in Excel/Word
- Experience with large ERP systems
- Fluent in English (Written and Verbal)
