2021 - 2022 Middle School and High School Art Teaching Position

Primary Activities:
- Plan for engaging and relevant classroom environments that allow students to take charge of their learning
- Implement the Cambridge curriculum in order to prepare all students to pursue their chosen post-secondary path
- Actively contribute to collaborative planning with dynamic and talented content and grade level teams
- Monitor and manage student behavior to maximize instructional time, promote self-control and personal responsibility, and respect for the academic environment
- Continuously monitor student achievement to inform instruction and allow students to work at increasingly higher levels; connect instruction to results and formulate steps that maximize student achievement
- An “All paddles in the water” mentality to propel our school as a whole and each unique student forward
- Be an active member of a professional staff through engagement in the decision making process on campus

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- 24 credit hours in teaching subject to fulfill the highly qualified requirement
- Valid fingerprint clearance card (or the ability to obtain one once hired)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to build relationships with staff, parents, and most importantly, students
- Arizona cross-categorical certificate required for Special Education positions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate work (Masters or Ph.D.) related to the subject matter
- Experience teaching in content area and working with students of a similar age or skill level
- Lifelong learners, seeking to build on and develop their knowledge and skills through a virtuous circle of reflection on practice – involving research, evaluation and adaptation
- Strong recommendations from previous employers
- Attention to detail with precision and the ability to independently and collaboratively problem solve
