About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full Time Hospice Registered Nurse to join our team in Portland, OR. As a Hospice RN, you will be responsible for providing end-of-life care to patients in their homes or in hospice facilities. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families. Your role will be critical in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care during their final days.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Oregon.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in hospice and palliative care.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in hospice or palliative care
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients' physical and emotional status, and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet patients' needs and goals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, symptom management, and end-of-life care.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families during the dying process.

As a Hospice RN, you will utilize your clinical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to provide compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their families. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and educate patients and families on disease processes, symptom management, and end-of-life care. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in developing and implementing care plans that meet patients' needs and goals. Additionally, your proficiency in electronic medical records and bilingualism in English and Spanish, if applicable, will be beneficial in providing the highest quality of care.
