Production Supervisor -3 rd shift

Our Waterloo, IA heavy industrial manufacturing client is looking to hire a Production Supervisor for their 3 rd shift operations. This Production Supervisor will effectively drive consistent production results that meet or exceed company goals, while providing a safety and engaging work atmosphere for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct all production activity and personnel on 3 rd
- Respond to customer demands by working with information provided by Planner to determine which products to run at any given time.
- Provide safe working environment by taking initiative to recognize hazards within the workplace and assist with creating effective solutions.
- Direct employees to produce products that meet customer quality specifications and deliver the products on time.
- Work with Human Resources to determine staffing needs and adjust as production demands change.
- Provide adequate training to ensure all employees understand the requirements of their job and can demonstrate competency.
- Provide timely and effective feedback regarding all performance issues to employees and document as appropriate.
Job Qualifications:
- 5 years of leadership experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma required.
- Strong leadership skills to help build a team and provide a positive culture.
