Warehouse Associate

Imperial Pools Distribution is looking for energetic and motivated individuals to work in our warehouse at 33 Wade Rd in Latham NY. Starting wage and overtime eligibility will be determined based on experience and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Pulling and staging outbound orders off of pick tickets while using pallet jacks, hand trucks & fork lifts
• Unloading inbound freight off common carriers and transfer trucks
• Loading delivery trucks with outbound orders
• Verifying accuracy of inbound freight and outbound orders
• Sorting, organizing and storing inventory in correct bin locations
• Packaging and labeling items correctly. Shrink wrapping skids prior to shipping
• Putting away product accurately and in an organized fashion to maintain a clean facility and accurate warehouse management system
• Assisting customers with loading orders into personal vehicles and verifying accuracy of orders
• Reporting damaged or missing items immediately
• Perform daily safety inspections of warehouse equipment and reporting concerns to supervisor
• Building maintenance including but not limited to cleaning warehouse floors and product before shipping, maintaining a clean and safe work environment throughout the building, collecting and emptying trash receptacles throughout the day.
• Performing routine inventory checks and cycle counts

Position Requirements:

• Reliable transportation to branch location
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to work on your feet for an 8 hour shift (two 15 minute breaks and a half hour lunch break daily)
• Warehouse experience highly desired
• Proficient with computers. Ability to ship and receive in point of sale system (willing to train)
• Ability to work well in a team environment and complete required tasks as designated by warehouse manager
• Solid organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to perform different tasks throughout the day as needed
