Caregiver for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities

Job Description

As a Day Habilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing daily support to adults with IDD. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting individuals in reaching their full potential through community integration and socialization.
• Developing and implementing individualized plans to promote independence and choice.
• Providing comprehensive, active programming for individuals served, including recreational and volunteer activities.
• Transporting participants to and from day services using the agency van.

Additional requirements include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Acceptable driver's license based on insurance company regulations.
• Pass NYS and OPWDD background clearances.
• Attend In Flight orientation located in Red Hook.
