In-Home Caretaker

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caretaker to provide essential support to an elderly man requiring assistance in his daily life. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life.

Duties

• Provide direct support to resident, ensuring his comfort and safety at all times.
• Assist with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while accommodating dietary restrictions.
• Observe and monitor patient for any changes in condition or behavior, reporting findings as necessary.
• Implement care plan tailored to individual needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for resident.
• Engage resident in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
• Uphold resident rights by ensuring privacy and dignity in all interactions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to provide comprehensive support.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and the ability to recognize changes in health status.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
