Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients by promoting independence and dignity. This role involves working closely with clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and safety while adhering to care plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are reported to healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Support clients in mobility and transportation needs, including assistance with walking or transferring from bed to chair.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
• Assist with medication reminders and ensure proper administration as directed by healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition.

Skills

• Experience in caregiving, particularly with individuals who have developmental disabilities or other disabilities, is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients' needs effectively.
• Familiarity with home health care practices and long-term care environments.
• Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others live fulfilling lives.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.74 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
