What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Co-Leader position at In Step PC?
In Step is the rare therapy practice that specializes in both individual and group therapy services. Each of In Step’s licensed clinicians enjoy their own unique specializations and are also qualified group leaders. We offer a wide range of group treatments and we take special care to match individuals up with the appropriate group chronologically, developmentally, and emotionally. Our group leaders are licensed clinicians with training and expertise in child development, parenting, and social skill acquisition.
Primary Job Function:
Assist the group leader in implementing group activities for 1 hour group sessions each week. Some clinician's have several groups per week where a co-leader is needed. This role may include enforcing rules and regulations, documentation review, maintaining a clean workspace and positive environment. The co-leader will consult with the group leader prior to group meeting times to ensure your familiarity with the curriculum/plan of the group.
This role would report directly to the group leader.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
A group co-leader shall be at least 18 years of age and meet the following requirements:
-Have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work
-Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
-Ability to maintain calm and organized in stressful situations
-Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics are a PLUS but not required.
-Must be reliable and punctual
