Counter Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support while promoting our products. Your ability to engage with customers, understand their needs, and deliver solutions will be key to your success in this position.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries and purchases.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain cash handling procedures.
• Provide product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Upsell products based on customer needs and preferences.
• Maintain a well-organized sales counter and ensure merchandising standards are met.
• Stock shelves and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability.

• Uphold excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships.
• Proficiency in retail sales techniques, including upselling and merchandising.
• Experience with cash handling and basic math skills for transaction accuracy.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Previous experience with plumbing, HVAC and sprinkler parts a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
