What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mandarin Chinese Teacher Needed for Independent School position at Independent Preschool?

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mandarin Chinese Teacher to join our team. As a Mandarin Chinese Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment and helping very young students develop their academic and social skills, while acquiring the ability to learn Mandarin in an immersion language setting.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's mission to educate children ages 2-12
- Teach students in a variety of subjects in Mandarin, including math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents in English and Mandarin
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect for all cultures
- Collaborate with teachers of other languages and staff to develop school-wide initiatives and programs to promote language immersion and proficiency
- Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills

Requirements:
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
