Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.

- Basic educational procedures and techniques for teaching English to students;
- Various subject matters typical of school curriculum; Operation of a personal computer and job-related software.
- Classroom or other instructional experience is preferred; or Proficiency in another world language, such as Spanish, is preferred; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- Graduation from high school, 48 college credit hours, OR Associates degree or higher (transcripts or copy of degree will be required upon hire), OR successful completion of the ETS Paraprofessional Praxis Exam (this exam may be taken after offer of employment has been extended, however, must be successfully completed prior to beginning employment).
The incumbent provides assistance to teachers and students in the English Language Learner (ELL) program, by helping students to become proficient in speaking, reading, writing and comprehending English and supporting overall program needs.
