Description
Reviews plans and specifications to ensure compliance with utility construction standards. This is a technical, skilled position, working independently under the general direction of the Capital Projects Manager.
Essential Job Duties
- Reviews utility construction plans submitted by private civil engineering firms.
- Verifies lift station calculations and hydraulic water modeling.
- Issues utility construction permits when the design criteria is met.
- Generates, receives, and files documents that record the progress of utility projects.
- Corresponds with various local and state environmental agencies before, during, and after the construction of utility projects.
- Collects, files, and processes the required documentation to clear Water and Sewer Utilities for public use.
- Reviews and comments on plans and documents as a member of the Technical Review Committee.
- Performs other job-related functions as required.
