What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Application position at Indiana Members Credit Union?
PURPOSE: Provide a variety of service functions and the best customer service possible to the members of the Credit Union
TELLER RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: (Varies for other positions)
Process member transactions – deposits, withdrawals, loan/credit card cash advances, loan/credit card payments, money orders, cashier checks, traveler checks, corporate checks, crossing selling, update members accounts, handle members problems & complaints, wire transfers, payroll deduction, allocation forms, direct deposit forms, safe deposit boxes
Handling/maintaining security of large amounts of cash
Verifying history of other financial institutions’ accounts
Open and close various types of accounts, certificates, etc.
Order check copies, ATM/Debit cards, stop payments, statements and histories for members.
Remote Capture checks
Scan member documents
Balance cash drawer daily
Assist with night deposits and ATM deposits
Other duties may include counting cash delivery, balancing ATM, inventory, ordering supplies, filing, keeping teller area clean, help with “end of day” duties, stocking lobby with supplies
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent
Previous cash handling/customer service
Completion of Credit Union internal training
