What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic position at Indiana Recovery Services?
We are a busy Repossession and Transport company looking for a full or part-time mechanic to assist with keeping our fleet moving. Our shop is equipped with all the equipment to maintain a growing fleet of vehicles adequately.
Description: Mechanic is responsible for but not limited to routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of vehicles in our fleet
Qualifications: Must have proven experience as a mechanic.
* Self-starter with positive attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision
* Strong attention to detail, goal oriented
* Reliable, team player
* Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
* Able to problem solve and determine solutions to issues as they arise
* Knowledge of gas and diesel engines
* Knowledge on use of tire and balance machines
* Knowledge of current technology and able to use diagnostic equipment
* Preferred knowledge of air brake systems and suspensions
* Preferred knowledge of Ford vehicles
* Minor fabrication and installation abilities
* Pass a background check and drug screen
Duties include:
* Routine inspection and maintenance on all company vehicles which include but are not limited to oil changes, brakes, tires etc
* Managing Fleet Management Program
* Investigating issues and diagnose problems as notated by drivers
* Research parts for best pricing
* Keep an accurate log of all work performed per vehicle using company chosen program
* Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times
* Adhere to company safety policies
Hours:
Monday-Friday 9a-5p
Pay is bi-weekly
