POSITION SUMMARY

The Indianapolis Colts are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated International Marketing Intern to assist the Director of International with the execution and expansion of the team’s global markets. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced and dynamic sports environment, providing exposure to international sports marketing strategies and collaboration with key stakeholders across the NFL's Global Markets Program.

As the International Marketing Intern, you will assist in various aspects of the Colts' global marketing efforts, including fan engagement, digital content creation, influencer marketing, event coordination, and more. The role provides invaluable experience in international sports marketing and business development while contributing to the Colts' mission to expand the team’s presence worldwide.

This internship opportunity will begin in May 2025 and will likely run through one year.

Director of International

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Indianapolis Colts International Marketing Intern's responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and activations aimed at driving fan engagement and growing the Colts' brand in international markets
• Assist in managing relationships with international agencies, consultants, and other partners supporting the Colts' global marketing efforts
• Help manage relationships with influencers and local event organizers to ensure successful brand activations in key markets
• Work in coordination with the team’s social agency to engage global audiences
• Support the planning and execution, in coordination with the team’s event agency, of international fan events, flag football events, and community activations
• Help coordinate strategies to leverage earned media opportunities, surrounding team events and activations as well as grass roots efforts in the international market
• Provide logistical and administrative support for various international marketing initiatives, including managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and tracking project progress
• Work closely with other departments, including communications, football operations, and sponsorship, to ensure seamless execution of international marketing initiatives
• Support other business verticals, as needed, for event support, etc. in alignment with the Colts overall internship program expectations
• Manage and oversee the coordination and ordering, as well as inventory management and distribution, of premium products and giveaways to support international fan engagement initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a graduation date by May 2025
• Legally authorized to work full-time in the United States for the duration of the internship
• Live within driving distance of the greater Indianapolis area for the duration of the internship
• Previous sports and international experience required
• Previous involvement/visits to the DACH Region a plus
• Commitment to a collaborative and team-focused approach
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel internationally as needed
• Strong understanding of key social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, etc.
• Ability to multi-task and think quickly on one’s feet using independent judgment
• Ability to innovate and think creatively
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours periodically as needed based on the team’s events, including games as necessary
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with a high level of attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and social media platforms; familiarity with content management systems or marketing tools a plus
• An interest in or experience with international markets and global cultures is a plus
• Ability to work full-time during the internship period (schedule flexible based on academic commitments)
