Night Warehouse Supervisor

GeneralPurpose*: *This is a highly responsible Night Floor Supervisor position assisting the Warehouse Manager to monitor the warehouse activities. Assist in supervising a union team of (order selectors) and meeting company’s expectations.

FOOD SERVICE INDUSRTY OR DISTRIBUTION CENTER EXPERIENCE A PLUS

Position Purpose: Supervises and is directly responsible for all night order selectors employee’s activities. The supervisor should expect to spend approximately 90% time out on the floor.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

• Create a safe workplace by supporting and implementing plant safety policies.
• Monitors the aisles to ensure all orders are pulled and boxed properly.
• Constructively watches the hourly employees and provides feedback on regular basis to the Warehouse Manager.
• Ensure that warehouse employees are properly trained in order selecting, proper stacking methods, procedures, and standards.
• Ensures assigned aisles are clean, well maintained, and replenished according to established procedure.
• Ensure compliance with terms and conditions of labor contract.
• Ensure that employees are in compliance with all company policies
• Initiate any necessary disciplinary actions.
• Achieves 98% good load performance.
• Works together with the Warehouse Manager to maintain harmony among workers and aid in resolving grievances.
• Monitor state and federal regulations compliance relative to OSHA and other Health and Safety agencies.
• Conducts and reports on for safety observations per month.
• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Supervision Responsibility: Assist the Warehouse Manager with day-to-day activities in the department may require the personal supervision of the staff including scheduling, delegating tasks, recommending disciplinary actions and providing training.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

The candidate must have strong people skills and strong verbal and written communication skills English and Spanish. Must possess a strong team approach to management. Must understand and support The Individual Group Culture.

Education, Training and Other Qualifications:

A high school graduated and five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
