Position Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions for a manufacturing company, including receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly
- Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list
- Prepare a receiving report if none is available
- Examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items
- Accurately place material on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner
- Attach identifying tag or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales or other containers
- Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers/production line
- Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly
- Ensure warehouse and equipment is maintained on a regular basis
- Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area
- Accurately identify and count stock materials as listed on the cycle count list
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Be able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code
- Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment preferred
- Solid reading skills; must be able to read orders, match orders on shipping tickets to items picked
- Basic math and reasoning skills
- Ability to understand and execute instructions
- General understanding of the warehouse and footprint

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand at least 8 hours per day. The employee is frequently required to grasp, handle and feel objects, control and manage tools with full body control, and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
The employee will push and pull at least 50 pounds consistently, frequently lift and/or move from ground to table up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move from ground to table up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a light manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally high for short durations of time with noise from impact tools and forklift.
