The Provisioning Associate plays a key role in ensuring each device is ready for field use and aligned with customer specifications. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-deployment provisioning, configuration, and testing of cellular routers, switches, and other networking hardware.
- Load and verify firmware, software, and custom configurations as defined by project or customer requirements.
- Conduct functional testing and quality assurance checks on configured hardware.
- Apply labels, asset tags, and documentation to equipment based on specifications.
- Troubleshoot hardware or software configuration issues during staging.
- Maintain detailed records of provisioning activities in internal systems or ticketing platforms.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Customer Support teams to clarify provisioning details or resolve staging issues.
- Manage inventory and maintain organization of lab equipment and supplies.
- Package and kit equipment for shipment, ensuring secure transport and compliance with custom requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the lab environment.
- Support workflow documentation updates and process improvements for provisioning operations.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred
Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in a technical hardware role, lab technician, or IT support environment.
Technical Skills:
- Basic networking knowledge (e.g., IP addressing, basic router configuration, and cabling).
- Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and procedures.
- Familiarity with networking hardware (routers, modems, switches) is a plus.
- Proficient in Excel, ticketing systems, and inventory tracking tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a technical environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication with technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience provisioning or configuring networking hardware in a staging or lab environment.
- Understanding of cellular networking (e.g., SIM cards, APNs, modems).
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to lift and handle equipment up to 25 lbs.
- Regular standing, bending, and use of hand tools, labeling devices, and computers.
- On-site work in a lab or staging environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
