We are partnering with a large healthcare organization in New York to hire an experienced Epic Medical Analyst to support and optimize enterprise Epic EHR environments.
This onsite role is ideal for healthcare IT professionals who thrive in clinical collaboration, system optimization, and high-impact hospital operations.
What You’ll Do
Epic System Build & Optimization
• Configure, enhance, and maintain Epic modules including EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, and Clinical Documentation
• Support system upgrades, patches, and optimization initiatives
• Troubleshoot application issues and ensure platform stability and performance
Clinical Workflow & Business Process Improvement
• Analyze hospital clinical and administrative workflows
• Translate operational and clinical requirements into scalable Epic solutions
• Implement enhancements that improve patient care delivery and operational efficiency
Testing, Training & Support
• Lead unit testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Provide end-user training and go-live support
• Deliver post-implementation application support
Required Qualifications
Healthcare & Epic Experience
• Minimum 1 year experience working with Epic EHR in a healthcare or hospital environment
• Strong understanding of U.S. hospital workflows and clinical operations
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards
Technical & Professional Experience
• 5 years total IT or Healthcare IT experience
• 1–2 years hands-on Epic build and configuration experience
• Proven experience delivering Epic enhancements in clinical environments
• Demonstrated role stability within healthcare IT organizations
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare IT, Health Information Management, or related field
• Master’s degree preferred but not required
Required Technical Skills
• Epic module configuration and troubleshooting
• Epic Reporting Workbench, Clarity, and Caboodle
• System testing methodologies (Unit, Integration, UAT)
• HL7 and FHIR interoperability standards
• Power BI or Tableau (intermediate level)
• Strong documentation, analysis, and problem-solving skills
Certifications (Highly Preferred)
• Active Epic Certification in one or more modules:
• EpicCare Ambulatory
• EpicCare Inpatient
• Clinical Documentation
• Candidates willing to obtain certification within a defined timeframe will also be considered
Work Location & Eligibility
• Full-time onsite role in Jamaica, NY (Garden City area)
• Candidates must be local or willing to relocate independently
