Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Wireman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, including both low and high voltage systems. As a Wireman, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring and equipment in various settings. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working with power tools and has a solid understanding of electrical systems and logic controllers.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and equipment in compliance with safety standards.
- Work with both low voltage and high voltage systems as required.
- Utilize voltmeters and other testing equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including industrial electricians and carpenters, to complete projects efficiently.
- Perform frame carpentry as needed to support electrical installations.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and within project timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Wireman or in a similar role within the electrical field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in wiring systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A valid electrician's license or certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
