**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with chemotherapy administration experience to join our dynamic healthcare team on per diem basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in outpatient (clinic) setting. This role requires a strong background in oncology.
**Duties**
- Administer cancer medications via injection, infusion or orally as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate and assist other staff in navigating and scheduling cancer patients for their treatment plans.
- Assist with answering patients' questions regarding their supportive care
- Educate patients and families on side effects and relevant supportive care
- Document patient care and outcomes in accordance with facility policies.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Stay current with the latest medical terminology and standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility and desire to cross-train for potential coverage of RN staff
**Skills**
- Oncology experience in outpatient or inpatient setting is required
- Strong understanding of oncology terminology, standards and supportive care in cancer patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills particularly with scheduling team, MA and financial authorization teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a passion for staying current with the latest medical advancements.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
