The Operator II, Manufacturing is responsible for supporting day-to-day production operations in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role involves operating equipment, following standard operating procedures (SOPs), completing required documentation, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The Operator II works under minimal supervision and collaborates with team members and leads to meet production goals and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain production equipment according to established procedures.
- Follow manufacturing instructions, work orders, and SOPs to ensure product quality and compliance.
- Perform setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of machinery as required.
- Accurately complete production documentation and data entry.
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area in accordance with safety and cGMP guidelines.
- Collaborate with team leads and other operators to resolve production issues and optimize workflow.
- Support inventory tracking and material handling activities as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, or PPI.
- Follow all safety and quality policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment preferred.
- Basic computer skills; ability to use systems such as Microsoft Office, ERP, or MES software.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
- Good attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work different shifts or overtime as needed.
