Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate with hands-on experience in in vivo pharmacology, especially in murine models, to join our dynamic preclinical research team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal handling, dosing (IV, IP, PO, SC), and immuno-oncology model development, with proven expertise in PK/PD studies and IVIS imaging techniques. You will play a critical role in supporting discovery and translational research aimed at developing novel therapies for cancer and other diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in vivo studies including tumor implantation, dosing (IV, IP, PO, SC), blood and tissue collection, and health monitoring in mice.
- Develop, validate, and execute preclinical oncology models, including syngeneic, xenograft, and humanized mouse models.
- Support immuno-oncology studies by evaluating immune cell function, tumor growth inhibition, and combination therapies.
- Utilize IVIS imaging systems to monitor tumor progression, biodistribution, and efficacy in live animal models.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all experimental procedures and results in compliance with IACUC and institutional guidelines.
- Analyze, interpret, and present data to cross-functional teams to inform program direction.
- Participate in study design and provide technical expertise to improve study robustness and reproducibility.
- Assist in training junior staff and collaborate across departments to support broader research goals.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Biology, Pharmacology, Immunology, or a related field with 2 years of in vivo research experience.
- Proficient in murine handling, restraint, clinical monitoring, and a full range of dosing techniques (IV, IP, PO, SC).
- Solid understanding of immuno-oncology and experience with relevant tumor models.
- Experience with flow cytometry or ELISA for immunological endpoints.
- Exposure to CRISPR, RNAi, or other gene editing techniques in vivo.
- Proficiency with software such as GraphPad Prism, Living Image, or WinNonlin.
