Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will assist with performing monthly P&L and balance sheet generation, process monthly accruals, allocations, revenue reconciliations, and perform other projects as necessary. This individual should have strong knowledge of the general ledger and its relationship with the various subledgers, as well as experience performing or reviewing monthly closes. This is a long-term position with potential for growth as the finance and accounting department expands along with this dynamic company.
Key Job Responsibilities:
(Duties may include, but are not limited to all or some of the following)
- Review and preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements;
- As part of the close process, review and check postings from various modules, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and expense management.
- Complete monthly reconciliations (Revenue, A/R, Bank, etc.);
- Assist with review and check postings from various modules, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and expense management to determine accuracy
- Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; and
- Special projects, as assigned.
Qualifications:
The candidate should have the following requirements as a minimum for the position:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field of study (CPA/CMA is a plus)
- 4-7 years of relevant work experience (public accounting or healthcare industry experience a plus).
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and experience with large ERP software packages (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central a plus) and/or BI tools (CareTend BI a plus).
- Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of information.
- Demonstration of the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be capable of functioning with flexibility in assignments.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communications.
Physical Demands:
Required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment; must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs; specific vision requirements for this job include: close, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position without compromising patient care.
