We are seeking a high-impact Sales Director to spearhead our commercialization strategy in 2025, drive rapid market adoption, and build a high-performance sales team in the cannabis industry.
Your Role: Driving the Future of Cannabis Testing Technology
As our first Sales Director, you will lead the go-to-market strategy, scale revenue, and establish Tetrasense as the leading potency testing platform in North America. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in sales execution, business development, and leadership in the cannabis or analytical instrumentation space.
What You’ll Do
Develop & Execute Sales Strategy – Build and implement a scalable sales strategy targeting key verticals in the cannabis industry, including cultivators, extractors, dispensaries, and testing labs.
Drive Revenue Growth & Market Penetration – Own all commercialization KPIs, drive adoption, and optimize sales channels to accelerate traction.
Lead & Expand the Sales Team – Hire, manage, and mentor a high-performance sales team as the company scales.
Build Key Industry Relationships – Establish and maintain strong partnerships with major cannabis operators, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders.
Collaborate with Product & Executive Leadership – Work closely with the CEO, Board, and R&D team to prioritize product features, pricing models, and market expansion based on customer feedback and opportunities.
Oversee Marketing & Demand Generation – Partner with marketing to optimize lead generation, content strategy, and channel marketing to maximize visibility.
Who You Are:
Cannabis Industry Expertise: Experience in cannabis instrumentation, lab equipment, or compliance testing (HPLC, spectroscopy, biosensors, etc.) is highly preferred.
Proven Sales Leadership: A track record of scaling revenue, leading successful sales teams, and executing sales strategies in startup environments or high-growth companies.
B2B & Technical Sales Background: Familiarity with selling scientific instrumentation or complex technical products to cannabis operators, testing labs, or regulatory agencies.
Strategic & Hands-On: Comfortable with high-growth, fast-paced environments, and able to build processes from scratch while executing at a high level.
Strong Communicator & Relationship Builder: Exceptional ability to engage stakeholders, negotiate deals, and establish credibility in the cannabis industry.
Data-Driven & Results-Oriented: A KPIs-focused sales leader who thrives on exceeding revenue targets and optimizing strategies based on performance metrics.
