Job Description
Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Digital Marketing Manager (Digital) in our NYC office to be a part of our Digital Services. We offer hybrid schedules; however, this person must live in the local area.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with a strong knowledge of running effective advertising campaigns on social media and retail platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience running and executing online ads for a book publisher on sites like Google, Facebook, TikTok, Amazon, and others.
In this role, you will develop and implement online marketing campaigns that generate consumer demand and improve print and ebook sales performance. You will develop and execute strategies to engage consumers through online and digital channels. As the Marketing Manager, you will work closely with Ingram’s book publishing clients on title selection and marketing strategy, aligning content with audiences to run campaigns that meet key performance indicators on reach, cost, and revenue. Finally, you’ll coordinate marketing efforts among in-house marketing staff, agency partners, and freelancers to execute ROI-positive digital advertising campaigns.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or year for year directly related experience
- 5 years’ experience in digital marketing and online advertising, either in book publishing or in an agency environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Book/publishing industry experience
- Experience with search and social media advertising (Google, Facebook, others)
- Experience with retail advertising (Amazon)
- Experience advertising for a book publisher
Key Responsibilities:
- Executes and manages advertising campaigns in leading search, social, and retail advertising channels (including Facebook, Amazon, and Google among others).
- Develops and leverages deep audience insights to ensure optimal ad targeting and creative development.
- Develops and implements content to support marketing plans and campaigns.
- Uses internal and external tools to launch, analyze, and optimize cross-channel advertising.
- Employs digital advertising best practices around targeting and segmentation, tests and A/B splits, and campaign optimization.
- Routinely analyzes advertising and sales performance in order to achieve ROI goals and inform strategy.
- Effectively communicates to key internal and external stakeholders around campaign status, KPIs, and recommended actions (including overseeing regular reporting to distribution publishers and Ingram management).
- Excels at project management and running several campaigns simultaneously.
- Manages relationships and communications with external agency partners.
- Works across business units to ensure that efforts are driving sales in an ROI- positive way.
- Monitor trends on best practices and techniques across the book industry, ecommerce, social media, consumer marketing, and online advertising spaces.
- Evaluates new opportunities and technologies while proactively researching issues and formulating solutions.
- Ensures consistency in company positioning and representation of the brand on social networking sites.
- Monitors competitive activity and make recommendations.
Hiring Salary Range: $82,842k – $117,589k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position and will be determined by factors including but not limited to: applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
