What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Technician II position at INIT Innovations in Transportation?
Primary Responsibilities
- Repair of electronic equipment, basic testing and board repair
- Ability to work from detailed instructions and conform to strict quality assurance guidelines
- Assembly of electrical devices
- Use of hand- and power tools
- Testing electrical devices
- Administrative and reporting tasks as assigned
- Manual Soldering (Rework)
- Other duties as assigned
Mental Demands
- Must be able to function well in a team or group environment
- Must be able to communicate well
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize duties
- Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings/schematics
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to distinguish colors, fine circuit detail, and tones
- ESD protection required in manufacturing area
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required
- Associate Degree in Electronics, preferred
- Requires 3-5 years technician experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
- Certification in soldering, preferred
- Knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7
- Knowledge of digital and analog electronic circuitry
- Working knowledge of IPC workmanship and soldering standards
- Proficient with Multimeters, Oscilloscope, Crimping, and Power Supplies
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation
- Excellent organizational skills, problem solving techniques, and accuracy are essential
