Your role as Group Copy Supervisor
The Group Copy Supervisor (GCS) is necessary in helping create comprehensive healthcare professional copy platforms, including but not limited to positioning and messaging architecture, for assigned accounts.
In this role, you will not only execute the copy for certain projects but also will mentor and oversee more junior writers and act as a master brand product information specialist.
The GCS reports to the Associate Creative Director (ACD).
This role can be remote or hybrid (San Francisco office). We are looking for someone who can support working West Coast hours.
What you’ll do :
- Demonstrate high level of professional expertise and superior writing skills
- Bring originality and innovative thinking while also being consistent with the brand messaging
- Possess awareness and familiarity with medical and scientific information that pertains to assigned brands
- Understand how to research and source credible information, and use it to craft copy that delivers on strategy
- Partner with assigned art partner to develop impactful creative concepts
- Confidently present and speak to the meaning behind concepts
- Uphold collaborative approach when working with client; be open to feedback and willing to explore further if necessary
- Show a strong ability to present the rationale behind your work as appropriate to the. situation
- Set priorities while handling multiple projects and to delegate work appropriately
- Establish knowledge of client's business
- Contribute to new business activities
- Support planning and strategy in the development of creative or project briefs
- Support in the evolution of brand personality and positioning
- Participate in brand planning meetings with client
What you’ll bring :
- Experience writing for HCPs; experience writing for patients is desirable
- Skill with writing clear, cohesive, scientific copy for multiple channels (print, digital, broadcast)
- Skill with writing foundational DSE and brand copy (eg, positioning, vision, message architecture, personality)
- Ability to unravel complex data to create a compelling narrative
- Clear presentation skills with an education edge
- Oversight for others executing multiple projects and independently manage complex projects assigned
- Decisive problem-solving skills, advanced listening and coping skills to remain clear-headed
- Understanding of how to use and apply medical references and validate with Medical Editor partner ahead of MLR submissions
- Knowledge of AMA style
- Experience with how work moves through the agency
- Understanding of the principles of production (print, online, broadcast)
- Collaborative spirit and ability to be a trusted partner to Account, Strategy and Project Management counterparts
- Experience with how to communicate with clients effectively
