$18.00 per hour applicant will train on the day shift Wed -sat 7 am-7 pm after training the applicant will be on 4th shift (night shift) Thur 1 am-7 am Thur-Sat 7 pm- 7 am
JOB SUMMARY: Assist press operator to set up and operate flexo printing press and related equipment to meet all quality and product standards.
Essential Job Functions
Must be capable of:
· Working safely without endangering self or other employees.
· Lifting 65 pounds.
· Removing completed rolls from the press and providing the operator with printed samples.
· Visually inspecting production (Printed rolls) at the rewind end of the press while the press is operating to ensure quality standards for color, registration, patch placement, and print are being maintained to the standards for that job.
· Cutting over rolls at the prescribed footage, Palletizing, Wrapping, and flagging or slabbing down of rolls that do not meet the quality standards.
· Maintaining ink, glue viscosities, and levels.
· Checking descriptions of paper rolls to ensure correct material supply at the unwind stands and prepare for splicing.
· Understanding the production orders.
· Maintaining written production and inventory usage records.
· Maintaining press and all related equipment in a clean and orderly condition as required to meet quality and production standards.
· Work within HACCP/ SQF guidelines to ensure product safety.
· Other duties as required.
