Position Summary

This position will be designing, developing, and testing Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) that support safety critical logic, sensors, optical and communications systems, as well as high performance processing architectures. You will also implement logic designs and signal processing algorithms in RTL, integrate designs onto FPGA/SoC platforms, and validate devices that communicate to, and fly in, space.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Initiate and develop designs, procedures, techniques and solutions to resolve advanced technical engineering problems.
  • Develop of RTL/synthesizable FPGA/SoC logic.
  • Develop of HDL test benches for design verification.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers and various engineering departments to ensure seamless project execution.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with complex FPGAs or ASICs (internship and research experience qualifies).
  • 3 or more years’ experience with VHDL and/or Verilog
  • 3 or more years of experience working with complex digital designs
  • Experience in any of FPGA development phases: RTL design, verification, synthesis/implementation, timing analysis/closure, lab bring up/validation
  • Experience designing and modeling high throughput IP blocks.
  • Ability to take pseudo-code implementations of math structures (matrices, convolution functions, and transforms) and convert them into an HDL hardware design.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is constantly required to communicate. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required prolonged periods in stationary position at a desk entering text or data into a computer or other machine by means of a traditional keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to move, position self, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally transport up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less (i.e., working with small objects or reading small print), including use of computers, far visual acuity, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Salary Range

$110,000.00-$125,000.00

However, Innoflight considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills. Employees may be eligible for profit sharing and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. In addition, Innoflight provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, 401K, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
