The primary responsibility of the Component Assembler – Truss is to assemble wood material and other parts into a finished product. The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize. The ideal candidate will have the ability to utilize critical thinking skills to identify issues; work independently and as a team member and have knowledge and understanding of truss assembly.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assembles wood material and other parts into a finished product
- Abides by production process established for assigned work area
- Seeks opportunities for continuous improvement in work area
- Safely and effectively operates computer-aided systems
(decision making, size of organization, budgetary etc.)
- All tools and equipment to be used in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations
- Abides by safe lifting procedures
- Reads and interprets product design information
- Ensures quality parts and materials are used to assemble product
- Ensures finished product quality meets expectations
- Ability to work on more complicated aspects of assembly process
- Supports all additional tasks directed by the production manager
- Learns and understands necessary computer programs to perform job related tasks
- Adheres to PPE and safety requirements of the production facility
- Maintains consistent housekeeping of work area
- Is on time with consistent attendance and operates through shift end
- Manages own time clock effectively
- Is a team player and takes direction from production manager
- Is willing to do what it takes to get the job done safely and efficiently
- Proactive problem solver
- Follows instructions, willingness to learn and train when required
- Consistently achieves high quality and volume targets of work area

- Professional behavior in the workplace with good communication skills
- Willingness to pursue training for trade knowledge advancement
(work related, tools/equipment, software, etc.):
- 2 years of carpentry or similar manual labor experience
- Ability to use tape measure, framing square, nail/staple gun and hammer
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
- Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the United States
- 40 hours weekly including up to 2 Saturdays a month as scheduled
