Our Facilities Services unit supports everything from custodial and landscape work to maintenance and work-order management across the District.
When you join us, you’ll be part of a team that:
Applications are currently being accepted for Maintenance Worker / HVAC Electrical in the HVAC & Electrical, located at DSC/Facilities Services – 1544 Frazee Rd, San Diego CA 92108. Hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department’s needs.
Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.

Desired Qualifications
Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, INC.(ACEI). A copy of the evaluation must be submitted with your online application.

Desired Qualifications
- EPA Certification for refrigerant handling.
- At least three years of experience in building construction or maintenance trades, including at least one year of apprentice-level HVAC or electrical repair experience.
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment, refrigeration, electrical systems, energy management controls, and safe work practices.
- Skill in using tools, methods and equipment to maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair HVAC and electrical systems, and ability to work independently with little direction.
- Ability to read sketches, drawings, blueprints, and to maintain logs, reports and records.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others in a diverse educational environment.
