Director of Lean Strategy & Transformation

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team to drive Lean principles and implement sustainable process improvements throughout the lighting production line.
- Identify and execute impactful initiatives that reduce cost, lead time, and waste while enhancing product quality, workplace safety, and operational consistency.
- Facilitate and oversee Kaizen events, ensuring data-driven planning and robust 90-day sustainment tracking of results.
- Conduct time studies to establish labor standards and optimize routing accuracy.
- Develop and implement standard work documentation across new and existing manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Manage improvement projects from concept to completion using proven project leadership methodologies.
- Deliver hands-on training in Lean tools including 5S and Value Stream Mapping to enhance workforce capability.
- Design and maintain visual management systems to promote real-time performance transparency across shop floor and warehouse teams.
- Collaborate with all teams to support safety initiatives and regulatory compliance in warehouse operations.
- Spearheaded system improvements across key operational domains, including production, inventory management, and overall operations.
- Serve as a strategic partner in facility layout enhancements and automation planning.
- Perform other improvement-focused duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field required
- 10 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing (lighting industry preferred)
- 5 years of Lean Manufacturing leadership; Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus
- Expertise in time study execution and labor standards development
- Strong knowledge of production flows, raw materials, and quality systems
- Proven ability to guide layout optimization and automation integration
- Effective communicator with ability to inspire teams and influence change across levels
- Proficient with MS Office and CAD
- Detail-oriented, results-driven, and adept at managing concurrent priorities
