Lead strategic improvement initiatives that elevate operational efficiency, safety, and quality across all lighting production processes. Champion Lean Manufacturing principles and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous advancement throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team to drive Lean principles and implement sustainable process improvements throughout the lighting production line.
• Identify and execute impactful initiatives that reduce cost, lead time, and waste while enhancing product quality, workplace safety, and operational consistency.
• Facilitate and oversee Kaizen events, ensuring data-driven planning and robust 90-day sustainment tracking of results.
• Conduct time studies to establish labor standards and optimize routing accuracy.
• Develop and implement standard work documentation across new and existing manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Manage improvement projects from concept to completion using proven project leadership methodologies.
• Deliver hands-on training in Lean tools including 5S and Value Stream Mapping to enhance workforce capability.
• Design and maintain visual management systems to promote real-time performance transparency across shop floor and warehouse teams.
• Collaborate with all teams to support safety initiatives and regulatory compliance in warehouse operations.
• Spearheaded system improvements across key operational domains, including production, inventory management, and overall operations.
• Serve as a strategic partner in facility layout enhancements and automation planning.
• Perform other improvement-focused duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field required
• 10 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing (lighting industry preferred)
• 5 years of Lean Manufacturing leadership; Lean or Six Sigma certification a plus
• Expertise in time study execution and labor standards development
• Strong knowledge of production flows, raw materials, and quality systems
• Proven ability to guide layout optimization and automation integration
• Effective communicator with ability to inspire teams and influence change across levels
• Proficient with MS Office and CAD
• Detail-oriented, results-driven, and adept at managing concurrent priorities
