Organization

The University of Oklahoma is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Marketing Manager to join our dynamic Marketing and Communications team. This individual will focus on developing, implementing, and managing paid media campaigns, both digital and traditional advertising, while supporting cross-collaborative marketing efforts and exploring innovative ways to promote the university. The ideal candidate will possess a strong strategic mindset, creativity, and the ability to leverage market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Essential Duties :

Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing paid media campaigns, both digital and traditional advertising, while supporting cross-collaborative marketing efforts and exploring innovative ways to promote the university

Conducts thorough market research to identify opportunities, trends, and potential areas for growth in the education sector.

Stays updated on market dynamics, customer behaviors, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making.

Analyzes competitive landscapes in the higher education sector, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Develops and implements marketing strategies that seamlessly align with the University's overall business objectives and corporate vision.

Ensures synergy between marketing strategies and broader organizational goals, contributing to the University's long-term success.

Recommends strategic adjustments based on insights gained from competitive intelligence to maintain the University's competitive edge.

Collaborates with account executives to synchronize marketing efforts with goals and timelines, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach.

Facilitates effective communication and collaboration across different functional areas within the organization to drive collective success.

Partners with internal marketing and communications departments to create cohesive and effective marketing campaigns.

Develops and executes comprehensive paid media strategies across digital (e.g., social media, search engines, display advertising) and traditional platforms (e.g., TV, radio, print).

Creates compelling and creative advertising copy that resonates with target audiences.

Identifies, evaluates, and manages relationships with external paid media vendors and agencies to support marketing initiatives.

Collaborates with vendors to optimize paid media campaigns to achieve maximum ROI and engagement.

Analyzes campaign performance and provide actionable insights for optimization.

Uses data-driven insights to inform and adjust marketing strategies and tactics.

Prepares comprehensive reports and presentations for account executives and leadership.

Job Location

Required Education :   Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field, AND :

60 months of experience in marketing, with a focus on strategic campaign planning that includes paid media (digital and traditional)

Skills :

  • Ability to develop and manage the executive of strategic marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of media planning, buying, and optimization.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads, programmatic advertising).
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to write compelling and creative advertising copy that resonates with target audiences.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
