What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Insight Global Healthcare?
We are seeking a Medical Assistant who supports both clinical and administrative roles. Responsibilities include recording patient information, taking vital signs, administering injections, drawing blood, and assisting with diagnostic tests. They maintain clean and sterile exam rooms, manage scheduling and data entry, communicate with patients, and collaborate closely with nurses and physicians to provide care within the scope of their certification.
Must Haves:
- 1 - 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in back-office direct patient care
- Applicable State licensure in field of study (RMA/ CMA)
- Current CPR certification
- Must be a team player with excellent communication skills
- Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment
- Experience with MS Outlook
- Basic Computer knowledge
Plusses:
- Bilingual
- Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Experience with HEDIS
- Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registration from the following: American
- Association of Medical Assistant (AAMA), National Healthcare Association, American
- Registry of Medical Assistants, National Association for Health Professionals, and/or
- American Medical Technologist
- Rad tech license (AART)
