Short Summary:
The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) will assume the role of providing professional nursing care to patients with needs of varying complexity. The behavioral RN will also ensure the quality and appropriateness of care depending on the client's needs. RN will primarily provide professional nursing care to patients according to hospital policy and procedure.
The role comes with 7.00 am to 7.30 pm or 7.00 pm to 7.30 am rotating shifts.
Job Requirements:
- Evaluates patient progress and modify care plans as necessary;
- Provides teaching to patients and their families
- Directs the work of nursing support staff through the use of appropriate delegation and supervision skills.
- The RN will protect, promote and restore health and wellness by employing the highest possible nursing care standards.
- Collaborates with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum.
- Provides physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families
- Mentors assigned team members and promote best practices.
Qualifications:
- Graduate nurse of an accredited school of nursing – BSN or ASN
- Registered Nurse, licensed in the state.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS – must be completed only by American Heart Association.
